Roland Color Camm Pro PC-60 - Setup Problem

Postby jparkes on Sun Jul 17, 2011 7:29 pm

Help!

I have just purchased a secondhand Roland Color CAMM Pro PC-60. Before
purchase I checked-out general reviews on the cutter and the fact the
printing was slow and costly. This is fine as I only intend to use
this machne as a cutter only.

Now to my problem....

When turning on, I am struggling to make the head move to sense the
vinyl. I have read and understand the steps. Turn on cutter, select
piece or roll, position roll grippers and drop gripper leaver. It
should then sense the width of the vinyl. Both sensors front and back
are cover with the vinyl.

Nothing happens, the head sounds like it is trying to move but does
not. After a few goes and moving the head manual then turning on, the
head did move to the right, hit the right end and stopped.

Can the head be miss aligned - surely the cutter should reset when starting up.

Both piece and roll LEDs are flashing, which should mean grip rollers
are incorrect - but the are not. It just will not move the head to
sensor the width.

Does anyone please have any advise, as I am now scratching my head and
looking for advise.

Here's fingers cross.

Thanks
